Working with his friends on the 2006 release Ships, Danielson created so much music that much of it could not fit into the full-length album. So, all of that music has now spilled over into an ongoing series of 7″ releases.
Since each song is a unique creation, the 7″ singles do not have a “B-side.” Instead, the sides are delivered to you as “A” and “AA.”
The Series Begins
This series began with the introduction of three unique, limited edition 7″ singles:

First, Sounds Familyre released “Dry Goods Dry Power & Left-Handed Smoke Shifter.” These songs were recorded at Electrical Audio Studios by Steve Albini. These songs find Daniel Smith with his friends Edith Frost and Darin Gray (Grand Ulena / Brice Glace / Dazzling Killmen) playing and singing along to rhythms created by Daniel’s Heartbeat and someone knocking on a door.
Next, Kill Rock Stars released “When It Comes To You I’m Lazy & Goody Goody” These songs reveal a gentler side of Danielson passed through the Psychedelic Filter of Producer/Musician Kramer.
Later, Anticon released “I’m Slow But I’m Sloppy & Did I Step On Your Remix.” “I’m Slow But I’m Sloppy” features a track performed and produced by Why? along with an album track remix by Danielson member J. Christiaan Palladino.
